2009 Annual Fundraiser
Houpeful Hearts Foundation held its 7th annual fundraising dinner on February 14, 2009. Over 330 people attended the event, “An Evening of Loving Hearts.” The event has become a Louisville tradition for celebrating Valentine’s day with dinner, dance, and silent auction. The dinner is Hopeful Hearts’ primary fundraiser throughout the year and proceeds support orphan and abandoned children in Ukraine, Afghanistan, and India.
Hopeful Hearts was honored to have Melissa Swan of WHAS 11 serve as emcee, and music was provided by Kim Dunn and Double Vision. We had a very special speaker all the way from Ukraine, Tonia Tshkay. Tonia shared her experiences working with children in Ukraine and will always be a dear friend to Hopeful Hearts. Thank you to our sponsors and the countless volunteers who made the evening possible.
