Afghanistan Blessing Bags
The Hopeful Hearts Foundation is requesting your help! We are collecting blessing bag items for orphaned children in Afghanistan. These bags will be passed out to the children of the Aschiana School in the village of Barack Aub by a mission team for Christmas. These children have been orphaned by war in their country with either one or both parents having been killed. They may have just been separated and neither the child nor the parents know the whereabouts of the other. Over 1000 orphan children at a refugee camp in Afghanistan last December received a token of hope and love from America: a small blessing bag along with a warm coat, new shoes, socks, a hat, and gloves to keep warm during the cold winter. Many children in Afghanistan live in refugee camps. Children in these settings often have nothing to call their own — not even the clothing they wear.
