We are building a house for orphaned and abandoned boys in Sri Lanka.  This house will be built on the rock of Jesus Christ.  These young boys are being rescued off the streets and are being taught about Jesus.   But they need a house.

While in Sri Lanka we visited where the boys are currently living  and  words cannot begin to describe the conditions. One of the boys took us to his room, he was so proud of such humble surroundings. We were feeling sorry for him until he said, “This is a great room…but the best part of this room is that this is where I found Jesus”.

We need $50,000 to build a new house for these boys and we need your help. We are asking that this offering be over and above your regular giving to Hopeful Hearts. Please prayerfully consider giving a donation. Online donations are safe and easy. Every penny you send will go to Sri Lanka to further God’s kingdom there.

We are collecting blessing bag items for orphaned children in Afghanistan. These bags will be passed out to the children of the Aschiana School in the village of Barack Aub by a mission team for Christmas.

These children have been orphaned by war in their country with either one or both parents having been killed. They may have just been separated and neither the child nor the parents know the whereabouts of the other. The annual blessing bags give a bright spot of cheer in the lives of these little people who really have no hope. Would you prayerfully consider helping to bring joy to a little one who has nothing?

The deadline for the bags is September 15th. The items can be dropped off at Heick Hester and Associates located at 408 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville, KY or contact  a HHF Board Member and we will make arrangements for pick-up.

If you are unable to donate items at this time, but would still like to help, please consider giving a tax-deductible contribution to support this effort.

Dark Colored Socks (no whites please) Child sizes: Medium and Large
Small Stuffed Animal (Beanie baby size)

There are a few spots left for this years’ trip to deliver Christmas gifts to orphans in Simferopol, Ukraine.  Travel dates are December 27th through January 3rd.  The total cost is $1900.00 which includes travel expenses, lodging, and meals.

Hopeful Hearts Foundation is currently in the process of collecting and processing blessing bags, which are used for Christmas gifts for orphans in Ukraine and Afghanistan.  If you are interested in donating a bag or helping with processing the bags in preparation for shipping, please contact Melissa Hough at 502-457-5772.

This school will provide an education opportunity for approximately 100 children.  For these children it will be their first opportunity to attend a structured school program.   The school will provide all educational materials, school supplies, and a hot lunch every day.  Years and years of war have taken a toll on this country and the children are suffering the consequences.  Most of these children will come from war torn families where they are either orphaned or the primary breadwinner for the family.

Total estimated cost for this project is $41,000 per year.  Please consider sponsoring a child for an entire year for as little as $34/mo or $400/year.
